WCF Standard 2006
The WCF Keyboard 2006
The WCF Keyboard 2006 standard was accepted at the Gdansk Congress on 18 July 2006. It is the third global carillon keyboard standard, alongside the GCNA standard (1981) and the North European standard (1983). It is derived from Richard Strauss’s Keyboard 2000.

Guiding Principles
WCF Position
1
The WCF recognises the GCNA and North European standards and accepts the Gdansk 2006 report as the best available compromise.
2
The WCF encourages continued study of how best to refine and harmonise keyboard standards.
3
The WCF recommends that for new installations, keyboard standard selection be made by a qualified independent consultant.
